DESCRIPTION
Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of clinical specimens including blood, urine, body fluids, CSF, stool and others. Performs testing on proficiency samples, quality control, standards, and calibrators. Able to perform manual methods, including kits and able to run all lab instrumentation. Troubleshoots problems and performs maintenance on instruments and takes corrective actions when necessary. Reports tests results to patient unit and clinicians.

QUALIFICATIONS
1 year experience in a clinical laboratory as a generalist preferred. Bachelor of Science required. Medical Technology program preferred. ASCP Certification preferred. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required (pending license proof of eligibility required). Possess basic computer skills.
