July 13, 2016: The Prenatal Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital was awarded a $100,000 legislative grant to through the efforts of New York State Senator David Carlucci, D-Rockland/Westchester. The grant supported improvements to the facility including an expanded educational area at the Center which provides advanced medical care, education, and support services to expectant mothers and their families throughout Rockland County.
Senator Carlucci visited the Center on July 6th to assist with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the updated facility. “The services provided through this grant will help the greater community here in Nyack and the surrounding towns and villages. My wife and I were able to take advantage of the programs offered through the hospital and now, more future mothers can enjoy those services as well, at no cost to them. This renovated waiting room will make the staffs' jobs easier and make it a more pleasant and informative experience for everyone. More importantly, our women's healthcare will take another leap in the right direction,” said Senator Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester).
