Ziad N. Kronfol, MD, FACS, FASCRS

 Director of the Department of Surgery and Chief, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery

Dr. Kronfol is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon practicing at Highland Medical, Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY. Dr. Kronfol received his board certification in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, respectively. He specializes in anorectal surgical procedures, laparoscopic and robotic minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery, transanal minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy procedures, and general surgery. He is passionate about providing excellent surgical care to the residents of Rockland, Westchester, and Bergen counties using the latest surgical techniques and technology.

Dr. Kronfol earned his medical doctorate from the American University of Beirut Medical Center in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his General Surgery internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, and his General Surgery Residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, TX. Dr. Kronfol completed his Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY.

He is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kronfol has presented at many academic conferences and seminars and has several publications. 

Adrienne Fueg, MD, FACS

Dr. Fueg is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in general, breast and advanced laparoscopic surgery. She has been practicing medicine for 20 years and currently practices with Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY. She was an attending physician at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Mary’s Pennsylvania for five years and had a private practice in the Bronx for seven years prior to joining Highland Surgical. Dr. Fueg earned her medical degree from SUNY-Health Science Center at Brooklyn. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, New York Medical College, and Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, New York Medical College. In addition, she completed a Critical Care Fellowship at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center. Dr. Fueg is a member of the Society of Women Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Randa Barsoom, MD

Randa R. Barsoom, MD is a board-certified general surgeon with Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY. She received her medical doctorate from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her general surgery residency at Northwell Health and Valley Health System. Dr. Barsoom comes to Highland Medical from a private surgical practice where she focused on general surgery, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and soft tissue excisions, with special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

John Bartolotta, MD, MHS

Dr. Bartolotta is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon practicing at Highland Medical, Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY. He received his undergraduate and Masters degrees from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, his medical doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica and Miramar, Florida, and completed his residency and internship in General Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Bartolotta completed a fellowship in Mastery of General Surgery at NYC Health+Hospitals/Queens and a fellowship in Bariatrics and Complex GI Surgery at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. He is passionate about bringing robotic techniques to surgical care with an individualized, patient-centered approach. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Joseph Buchsbaum, MD

Joseph Buchsbaum, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, and completed his general surgery residency at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, where he served as chief resident.  Dr. Buchsbaum is skilled in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, allowing him to provide individualized, minimally invasive care whenever possible. He manages a broad range of general surgical conditions, including gallbladder disease, appendicitis, abdominal wall and inguinal hernias, soft tissue tumors, and disorders of the stomach, small intestine, and colon.  He is committed to delivering patient-centered care that emphasizes communication, precision, and long-term wellness.  He enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in their extracurricular activities.
